Quilter's Clock Pattern Finished

Hello Everyone,

Well it took me a little longer to finish up my latest pattern, but it's finally done and ready for show-n-tell, I hope you like it.  This one is my Quilter's Clock and it has the 13th hour, to give me an extra couple of hours in each day, don't we just wish we could have that. Okay, here it is:

It is so nice to finally be getting things done!  I only have about 48 more UFO's to go, seriously I have just started to many project's this last few years and haven't finished anything.  What are you all working on?

Easter Pinwheel Table Runner

Good Morning Ladies,

As I mentioned in my last post, I was going to put up a couple of new patterns in my Craftsy Store.  Well after a few hours getting it all put together I finally got one up and I am so excited to share it with you.  Here it is, my Easter Pinwheel Table Runner.  It was really fun to make and I know it will look nice on my table for the next few weeks.

I will be working on the next pattern tomorrow and will hope to have that one up in a day or so.
With the grandkids getting bigger, Gabriella 4 and Josiah 3, I am now able to get into my sewing room a little more often, so hopefully I can continue to have show-n-tell via blog for you all.  I would really like to see what you are all up to.

Bloom 5 & 6, Watermelon Q, Gabriella makin' cookies

This last week I have been working on a few different things.  I have finished up Bloom Block 5 and 6.  Block 6 just got released this morning and I finished it right away today, I am sure enjoying the handwork.  This quilt has 20 blocks, so 14 more to go, and I know when we are on the last one I am going to be pretty sad.  Hopefully Lori has another quilt in the works by June.  Well here are blocks 5 and 6.

 Block 5

 Block 6

I am also working on a smaller project from Kansas Trouble Quilters, it is a progressive wall hanging and it started with the star in the center, which I have done here.

Next was a border of blocks going around the star

The second to last border to be added was the flying geese, yup 44 flying geese.  I only have one more border to put on and then I can quilt it.  I have to admit that this wasn't a UFO, but it will get done, so it will count as a "finish"!

This Watermelon Quilt I made last fall and over the holidays my SIL, Grace quilted it for me.  I got it back in January, put the binding on and had it for the Tweeds Show-N-Tell

On Saturday night Alisha took Josiah to see the Monster Trucks, so that meant that I had Gabriella all to myself.  Well I asked her what she wanted to do, and she said "make cookies".  So we got out the ingredients and went for it, after about an hour we had made all these "MINI" cookies.  See the sugar packet to the upper left hand side of the tray, that is how little they are and very tasty.
Gabriella, decorating with the icing bag, she is only 4 years old.

Here is my little angel with her tray of cookies!

Here is the tray of cookies and that little sugar packet I told you about.

I do have two new patterns that will be going up on my Craftsy site very soon, I will post a picture here when they are up.  It is so nice to finally have some time to sew.  What are you all working on, e-mail me, send me pictures or leave me a comment.  Have a wonderful week.

Valentine's Day

Hello Ladies,

This is just a quick little note to wish you and your families all a very "Happy Valentine's Day".

I hope you all get a little time today to get a few stitches in one of your projects, if any of you are working on the "Finish It Up" through Thimbleweeds, we only have three more weeks to get it done.

I think we need to send this to our husbands next January so that they can have a whole month to try and find something like this for us for next Valentine's Day!

Valentine, Bloom Blocks and Gabriella sewing

Hello Ladies,

I have a few updates since the first post, there are few more items on the finished list for January and February that I would like to share with you.

I don't know if any of you remember me starting this table mat a few years ago at one of our last meetings, well I got "Busy" and finished it.  There are even some crystal's to give it a little bling.

Gabriella asked me to make her a bag to take her Valentines cards to Pre School, so grandma got busy and found this really nice pattern on the web.  The bag was quick and easy to work up using the quilt as you go method, I changed the handles and made it in red and pink just for my little lady.

As you know, I like to decorate for each holiday so here is a new addition for Valentine's.  The pattern is from Shabby Fabrics, this is also very quick to make in a day.

In the first post I had Block 1 of the Bee In My Bonnet sew along "Bloom" with Lori Holt, here is Block 2.  The pattern is free on the Riley Blake website and Lori has lots of tutorials on how to make the blocks on her site.  This is only the second time in 26 years of quilting that I have purchased the fabric to make a quilt and I am glad that I did because I love her color choices.

This is Block 3 in the sew along and below is Block 4.  I am using Lori's method of applique and am enjoying doing the hand stitching in the evenings.  I am using Kimono Silk thread from Superior and it goes through the fabric like a hot knife through butter with no knots.

If any of you ladies would like to join in, it's not to late.  There are twenty blocks in all and they are all very simple and quick, only one a week.

Here is Gabriella at her sewing machine.  She had been sewing on my Pfaff since last fall and really enjoys it, so for Christmas I got her, her own sewing machine.  This little lady will one day be making quilts with me, the only draw back is that I will have to share my fabric stash with her. lol

If you have any show-n-tell, please send it to my e-mail so that I can share it with our group, I would love to see what you are all working on.  Have a wonderful day!

Your Buddy In Quilting,
Bobbie
